I keep having recurring tonsillites?

i have it either every month or every 2-3 months....it last for about a week. it is painfull to swallow...drink and on some cases it even has me up at night....some times it is both of my tonsils but for the past 2 monts it has only been my rite.....it is red and sloowen...they both have bumps but the right has more and they are witish and also behind the tonsil i feel lyk a goo...im going to te doctor finally 2morow... but do you think i will need to get them removed....this has been a problem for mby 2 yrs
