Seeking advice????????????????????????…

I have known and liked this guy for three years and he recently started to text me. (he's 19 and i'm 16) i was sick when he started to text me so i hardly ever replied back because of swine flu. my friend got his number and now they are texting...but i still like the guy! i apologized to him for being rude to him when i was sick and he seemed okay with it. what should i do? tell my friend to take a hike or what?
